Build a fragrance around your own preferences

Start with the impressions you enjoy rather than a complicated formula. Fresh, floral or woody are useful starting points for a conversation, even if you have never studied perfume. Let the explanation guide your choices and ask what changes when different ingredients are combined. Taking notes helps you remember the decisions behind the finished result. There is no need to reproduce a famous commercial fragrance: the interesting part is discovering which combinations feel right to you and understanding how you reached them.

What the session offers

The listing describes a small-group workshop with perfume materials, theoretical instruction and support from a perfumer. Pens and notepads are provided for the recipe, and the finished bottle gives you something tangible to keep. Check the language offered for your chosen session before booking. A translated guide does not mean the supplier teaches every session in every language. If you are sensitive to fragrances or have specific participation needs, contact the supplier beforehand to discuss whether the environment and activity will be suitable.

Make room for a creative break in Florence

For a weekend in Florence, the workshop can give the day a different rhythm from a sequence of galleries and landmarks. Its central location makes it possible to plan an independent walk before or afterwards, but museum admission and sightseeing are not part of this experience. Avoid placing another timed reservation immediately before the class. Finding the right doorway and arriving ready to listen are worth a little extra space in the schedule. Keep the recipe with your bottle so the souvenir preserves the process as well as the scent.

Find the red street number

The meeting address is Via del Sole 11R. Florence uses a separate red numbering system for business premises, so the R matters when entering the address into a map. Save the full address and compare it with the latest voucher instructions. The listing indicates wheelchair accessibility; ask the supplier about the entrance and workstation if you have particular requirements. The photograph in this guide shows Florence as a destination. It does not depict the workshop interior, the perfumer or the materials supplied during the class.

Firenze

How to get there

From the train station

Firenze Santa Maria Novella

From Firenze Santa Maria Novella station, walk towards Piazza Santa Maria Novella and continue to Via del Sole 11R, near Via delle Belle Donne. Use the complete red street number in your navigation app and check the doorway before the session starts. With luggage or mobility requirements, a taxi from the station is another option; give the driver the same full address. This journey is independently arranged and is not included in the workshop.

From the airport

Firenze Peretola (FLR)

From Florence Peretola Airport, take tram T2 towards San Marco–Università and leave at Alamanni–Stazione S.M.N. Continue on foot towards Piazza Santa Maria Novella and Via del Sole 11R. Check GEST for service changes, tickets and luggage rules before travelling. Allow for baggage collection and the wait for the tram rather than scheduling the class around the flight’s advertised arrival time. The airport connection is not a transfer provided by the workshop.

Always check the meeting point on your voucher: it may vary by the option booked. Check timetables and connections again before travelling.

Before you go
