Sharing a guide

Share buttons are simple links and do not automatically load social network widgets or scripts. If you choose an external service, clicking opens that service and may pass it the guide’s URL and title, along with technical data needed for the connection. The chosen service’s terms and privacy policy then apply; if you are signed in, it may associate the activity with your account. Opening the link does not automatically publish the guide: you confirm sharing within the service.

Newsletter: only if you choose it

You can subscribe to receive Esperienze Guidate guides, news and suggestions by email, including affiliate links. Jack Taffarello, reachable at info@esperienzeguidate.it, processes your email address, chosen language and list, subscription and confirmation status, and information needed to document your consent. Subscribing is optional and is not required to read the guides; sending a report or a suggestion does not subscribe you to the newsletter.

The legal basis for sending newsletters is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). The form’s checkbox is not preselected. After your request, you receive a confirmation email: newsletters are sent only after you confirm your subscription through the link provided.

We manage subscriptions using a dedicated, self-hosted listmonk installation and use the website’s email infrastructure for messages. Data is processed to manage subscriptions, confirmations, deliveries and unsubscribing. Individual tracking of newsletter opens and clicks is disabled.

You can withdraw your consent free of charge at any time through the unsubscribe link in the newsletters or by writing to info@esperienzeguidate.it. Withdrawal stops subsequent newsletters and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

We retain data needed to manage the newsletter while your subscription is active. After you unsubscribe, we retain only the minimum information needed to document consent and withdrawal, respect your choice not to receive further newsletters, and meet any legal obligations or protect legal rights, for as long as these purposes require. You can exercise your data rights by writing to info@esperienzeguidate.it.

Browsing Esperienze Guidate

You can read the guides without an account. Experience searches run in your browser; search terms are not sent to an external search engine. The server processes technical data needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP address, request date and browser information.

Analytics: your choice

Google Analytics 4 starts only if you choose “Allow analytics”. It helps us understand which pages are read, which channels bring visitors and which experience links are opened. Without consent we do not load the Analytics tag or send this data to Google. We do not use these statistics for personalised advertising.

Your choice is stored in your browser for 180 days. Change it through “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of any page. If you agree, Analytics uses cookies whose names start with _ga, configured to last 180 days, and processes technical and browsing information. Google provides the service; processing may involve infrastructure outside the European Economic Area. Withdrawing consent stops subsequent measurements and removes Analytics cookies accessible to this site.

Viator links and suggestions

Booking links lead to Viator, where the external service’s privacy policy and terms apply. Link parameters identify our affiliate partnership and the referring guide.

Embedded Viator suggestions load only when you press their button. Loading sends technical request data to Viator and may activate cookies managed by that service. You can read guides and use the booking link without loading these suggestions.

Emails, reports and suggestions

If you email info@esperienzeguidate.it, Jack Taffarello processes your email address, name and the information you choose to send to assess and reply to your request. Providing information is optional; a valid contact address is needed to receive a reply. Do not send unnecessary personal data. Contacting us does not subscribe you to promotional messages.

Reports are handled on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining accurate content and managing enquiries, while respecting your rights (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). For collaboration requests, where applicable, processing needed to explore an agreement is based on steps taken at your request before entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). We keep messages for as long as needed to handle the request; any further retention is limited to what is necessary to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Contact buttons open your chosen email app or service and pass it the recipient and an editable draft. The website does not send the message automatically: you complete and send it through your email service, whose privacy policy applies. Your rights

Where applicable, you can exercise your rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to processing or receive a portable copy of your personal data. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
