What to see on a walk through Treviso

The listed stops include Isola della Pescheria, Via Buranelli and the Fontana delle Tette. Canals, waterside buildings and connecting streets offer a way to understand how water shapes the city. Following a guide helps bring these places together, with opportunities to ask about details that catch your attention. Notice the spaces between the named stops too: views towards houses, arcades and changing perspectives along the route. You can treat the walk as an introduction and decide which places to revisit independently afterwards. Leaving some unplanned time later in the day makes that easier than arranging another activity immediately after the tour.

A slice of tiramisu and the stories behind it

The food element is one included slice of tiramisu. It accompanies the guide’s account of traditions and stories connecting the dessert with Treviso, adding a flavour to the places you explore. The experience takes the form of a city walk with a sweet tasting; making the recipe is not part of the activity. For anyone travelling with a dessert enthusiast, it creates an opportunity to share questions and curiosity about local food culture. If you have an allergy or a dietary requirement, ask about ingredients and possible adjustments before booking. A suitable alternative should be confirmed rather than assumed to be available.

Length, group size and the shape of your visit

Allow approximately ninety minutes for the activity, which has a maximum of ten participants. The programme combines the guided walk with the slice of tiramisu specified in the offer. Check the language, starting time and conditions of your chosen option, as departures and availability depend on the date. When planning your day, remember that Piazza dei Signori is the finishing point, separate from the meeting place near the station. Afterwards, you can spend more time in the square or continue exploring the centre, allowing for your own return to the train. Any other refreshments or visits should be planned separately around your interests.

Getting ready to explore the historic centre

Wear comfortable walking shoes and keep your luggage light, particularly if Treviso is a stop between other destinations. Check the weather and bring suitable protection for the season, since the route takes you through the city streets. The listing describes the activity as not wheelchair accessible. If you have mobility requirements, discuss them with the organiser before buying a ticket so that you can assess the experience against your needs. Keep the booking voucher handy on your phone and arrive early at the exact meeting point. Settling travel and luggage arrangements beforehand leaves you free to focus on the walk when it begins.

Treviso

How to get there

From the train station

Treviso Centrale

Meet at the newspaper kiosk bearing the name GAZZETTINO near the station. The organiser’s directions say to stand with the station behind you and continue straight ahead for approximately one hundred metres to the kiosk. Use the pedestrian route and crossings outside the station, and check your voucher for the precise location and any updated instructions before looking for the group. Do not head straight to Piazza dei Signori: that is where the tour finishes. Leave time after your train arrives to get from the platform to the kiosk comfortably.

From the airport

Treviso Antonio Canova (TSF) and Venice Marco Polo (VCE)

From Treviso Canova, MOM’s Treviso Airlink and bus line 6 connect the airport with Treviso Centrale station. Follow the signs outside arrivals and check MOM’s current stop information, services, ticket conditions and luggage rules. From the station, take the short walk to the GAZZETTINO kiosk described above. From Venice Marco Polo, the airport’s recommended route uses ACTV bus 15 or the ATVO shuttle to Venezia Mestre station, followed by a train to Treviso. Finish on foot at the meeting point. Allow for baggage collection, waiting and the connection at Mestre; these transfers are arranged independently and are not included in the walking tour.

Always check the meeting point on your voucher: it may vary by the option booked. Check timetables and connections again before travelling.

Before you go

  • Check the tour language and departure time before choosing your trains.
  • Discuss allergies or dietary needs with the organiser before booking.
  • Plan your return journey from the finish in Piazza dei Signori.
