From melted chocolate to a bar

The programme introduces artisan chocolate work, including making bars and listening to the person leading the session. You can approach it with curiosity rather than previous kitchen expertise. Watch the consistency, follow each instruction and ask which stages would need particular care if you tried again at home. Keep the short duration in mind when choosing: an introductory experience cannot replace professional training or guarantee extensive practice in every tempering and decorating technique. Ask about the precise practical content if one particular skill is your main reason for booking.

Make the tasting count

A chocolate tasting is included. You might use it to compare aroma, sweetness and texture before deciding which sample you prefer. There is no need to arrive with specialist vocabulary; noticing differences and describing them in your own words can be part of the pleasure. Tell the organiser about allergies or dietary requirements before booking. Do not assume the ingredients or workspace are free from milk, nuts or cross-contact. The chocolate varieties, possible decorations and any quantity to take away should be confirmed for your chosen session.

Fit it into a city visit

The Via dei Priori meeting point makes this an activity in the historic centre. It is separate from a visit to the Perugina factory and does not include admission to Eurochocolate or any other chocolate festival. If an event inspired your trip, arrange its tickets and programme separately. Leave time before the class to find the street and building number, particularly on your first visit. You can then plan the rest of your walk around an actual appointment instead of assuming that a workshop accepts visitors whenever they happen to arrive.

Choose the right session

The listing offers Italian and English and states a maximum group size of fifteen. Check the language of the session you select, its start time and your booking confirmation before committing the rest of your day. The activity is listed as not wheelchair accessible, so anyone with mobility needs should ask about the entrance and working position in advance. Transport is not included, and gratuities are separate. A short sweet tasting is not necessarily a meal; plan lunch independently and allow some flexibility after the workshop.

Perugia

How to get there

From the train station

Perugia Fontivegge

At Perugia Fontivegge railway station, follow the pedestrian connection to the Fontivegge Minimetrò stop and travel towards Pincetto. From the upper terminal, continue into the centre and along Via dei Priori to number 52, checking the final walking route on your voucher map. Allow for slopes, walking and any waits. Check both Minimetrò operating hours and the hours of the connecting escalators; your train’s arrival time is not your arrival time at the pastry shop.

From the airport

Perugia San Francesco d’Assisi (PEG)

The airport lists Umbria Airlink services to Perugia and Assisi railway stations. Select the service for Perugia and verify the date, departure and stop before travelling. From Fontivegge, continue by Minimetrò and on foot to Via dei Priori 52. An official taxi is another option: give the exact address and agree a reachable drop-off point in the historic centre. Airport travel is separate from the class, and an appointment immediately after landing leaves little room for delays.

Always check the meeting point on your voucher: it may vary by the option booked. Check timetables and connections again before travelling.

Before you go

  • Confirm the session language and time before leaving for the meeting point.
  • Discuss allergies and access requirements directly with the organiser.
  • Bring the voucher and check number 52 rather than looking for a factory entrance.
