Confirm your meeting point before the tour
The listing offers two meeting points: Piazza Sacramento, by Trullo Sovrano, or Via Indipendenza, in front of the Terra Mossa restaurant. You must contact the operator one day beforehand to confirm which one to use. Check your booking instructions and the agreed location before planning the walk from the station or car park. An address saved from an earlier version of the experience may no longer describe your actual meeting point.
A professional guide and a visit to both historic districts are included. Admission to Trullo Sovrano, food and drinks are excluded. If visiting the museum interior is essential to your day, ask the operator how it can fit into the programme and allow separately for any ticket purchase. The appearance of a building on an itinerary does not mean that every entrance or service available there is included in the tour price.
Explore Rione Monti and Aia Piccola
The published route includes Rione Monti and Aia Piccola, together with landmarks such as Trullo Sovrano, Casa D’Amore and the Church of Sant’Antonio. Walking with a guide helps connect individual buildings to the wider town. One street offers a view across the conical roofs; a few steps later, a doorway or small courtyard draws attention back to the scale of a home and the everyday use of its spaces.
Wear comfortable shoes and carry a small bag to move easily along sloping streets and between other visitors. Leave passageways clear when taking photographs and respect entrances and private property. Not every trullo is a museum, and not every interior is open to visitors. Ask your guide which places can be entered, rather than assuming that an open door is an invitation to step inside.
Allow time for the walk and the return journey
The advertised duration is approximately two hours; the itinerary description gives a range of one and a half to two hours. The tour returns to its original meeting point. Save the location confirmed by the operator on your map for both arrival and departure planning. Leave space before your next connection, since you may need time to reach a bus stop, collect your car or have a meal after the walk.
Shared and private options are listed, with English and Italian available; the tour may be bilingual during the low season. A booking requires at least two people. Check the language and option actually available on your selected date instead of assuming that every version runs at every departure time. Trips to other towns in the Itria Valley need separate planning around the transport connections available that day.
Alberobello
How to get there
From the train station
Alberobello (FSE)
Alberobello station belongs to the Ferrovie del Sud Est network. Use the official journey planner and service notices to check whether your trip involves a train, bus or replacement service. From the actual arrival stop, plan your walk to the meeting point confirmed by the operator: Piazza Sacramento or Via Indipendenza in front of Terra Mossa. If travelling from Bari Centrale, also check the precise FSE departure location and allow time to find your way on arrival.
From the airport
Bari Karol Wojtyła
From Bari Karol Wojtyła airport, you can reach Bari with Ferrotramviaria and check onward connections to Alberobello on the FSE network. Verify both legs and the connection separately, particularly on public holidays. Transport to Alberobello needs arranging separately from the walking tour. If you have a flight on the same day, allow for the walk from the meeting point to your return stop and any changes of service, rather than planning around the tour’s two hours alone.
Always check the meeting point on your voucher: it may vary by the option booked. Check timetables and connections again before travelling.
